Crockett's Fall

Printmaking. Animation. Film.

Written, illustrated and published 'Crockett's Fall'. A short story illustrated by monoprinting and collaging; the book tells the tale of the turbulent and surreal relationship between Crockett and Poppy.

Woon Foundation Install

Yesterday was the first day of hanging my work in the Woon Foundation Exhibition. Thought I’d throw these pictures up before heading back in today.

I’m using a white mac-monitor for the animation this time which feels very different. Excited to see how it all comes together today or if things need to be changed….

These images seem to succinctly sum up the apres-degree show, apres-degree vibe. Crockett, as always, prone to the slightly dramatic.

Time to try and be a real-adult…

Degree show part 2…

It’s been an extremely long time since my last post.

It only seems right to post some Degree-Show images…

It was a fantastic learning experience. The talking-to-people-about-your-work while standing right in front of it was definitely challenging. It was rewarding to get some nice feedback and have a few people really connect with it. At the same time it was a good lesson in letting more negative/disinterested comments deflect and continue to sit there for the 10 days.

For anyone who didn’t make it along…let me know what you think!

And so, somehow, the last few days of the degree show are upon us.

To everyone who made it along to see Crockett, thanks.

To everyone who didn’t due to geographical distance, I’ve now uploaded the animation to vimeo…… https://vimeo.com/96105961

Enjoy!

Today is the day…degree show opening night
I feel in no way ready for this but here we go…

I feel in no way ready for this but here we go…

I’ve wont a scholarship to Florence for a few months in the autumn :)

The night before degree show assessment begins…

Everything is in place…I think. Once the projector is turned on tomorrow, I’m finished! Not sure whether to be relieved or worried.

More installation photos. Now that the images are hung, I’ve started work on the curtain that will hang in front of my dark room where the projection will be played. Cutting up hessian and sewing it back together!

Another day of hanging….and they’re all up!

Slowly Slowly getting there. Walls are now perfectly white so I can start hanging my print tomorrow!

First day in my degree show space yesterday…scrubbing floors, sanding walls and getting ready to paint.

What great pals I have!

More today, wohoo!
